Code of Conduct

The Meridian Police Activities League (Meridian PAL) Code of Conduct applies to all participants, players, coaches, and spectators.

By registering your player with Meridian Police Activities League (Meridian PAL), I am aware of and agree to abide by all codes of conduct adopted by Meridian PAL. In addition to the aforementioned code of conduct, I also agree to the following code of conduct and I understand that violation of the Code of Conduct by the player or myself may result in the immediate dismissal from Meridian PAL.

Spectators must remain on the parent sideline behind the safety line and are prohibited from coaching on the sidelines and are not permitted on the team sideline nor goal line areas.

Place the safety and welfare of players as the highest priority.

Use positive reinforcement and encouragement rather than criticism.

Model respect for all players, coaches, opponents, officials, and spectators.

Emphasize sportsmanship and appropriate conduct.

Refrain from using foul language, trash talk, making negative gestures or actions to provoke a negative response or fighting.

Refrain from booing, heckling, or abusing referees in any manner.
