Each year, Meridian PAL will award a $2,500 scholarship to one student who has participate in the PAL Baseball, Football or Soccer Program since the 2017/2018 fiscal year. Applications are due May, 1, 2026

Eligible: Any high school senior who played a minimum of one season of baseball, football or soccer through the Meridian PAL since the 2017/2018 fiscal year, and will attain necessary credits for a high school diploma or equivalent by June 15th of the year in which you are applying, is eligible.

Inelegible: All relatives of the Meridian PAL Board of Directors, Meridian PAL Executive Director, and judge panel are ineligible.

All applicaitons, including recommendation forms, must be received by May 1st.

Once a complted applicaiton is recevied, we will reach out to your recommender to complete a receommedation form. This form must also be completed by May 1st.

The Meridian PAL Board of Directors expressly reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who submits an application that is inaccurate, incomplete, or that the Meridian PAL believes in good faith to be generated by automated means or scripts or are the result of plagiarism.

Applications will be reviewed for thoroughness and accuracy and assigned an internal tracking number.

The application will be sent to a 3-person, independent panel of professional and community leaders to judge the entries.​

The judges will not know the names of the candidates, nor the names of the other judges.

Entries are judged and the Board will be advised and the recipient will be notified.

Scholarship recipients will allow use of their picture to be shared on Meridian PAL's social media and/or our website. 

The scholarship application will requires a recommendation (preferablly a high school teacher). Once your application has been submitted, we will reach out to your recoemmder. It is your responsibility to work with this person to ensure that their recommendations get submitted in time.

We will provide the recommender with a form to submit. Only recoemendations submitting using this form will be considered. There is no need to send an additional LOR.

• Assignments are high quality and turned in on time
  
• Resolves concerns without parental intervention

The award will be made out to the college institution to be credited to their tuition and not to the individual.
