Meridian PAL offers two Basketball programs for boys and girls ages 5** and up. The 3 on 3 League is now incorporated into the Basketball Academy.

Meridian PAL Basketball Academy is an excellent opportunity to develop your basketball skills and have fun playing with your friends. Players in the academy will be instructed by college and high school players who are led by highly qualified AAU coaches. The academy offers instruction for all levels of play with an emphasis on developing basketball skills and having fun playing games. Players will be grouped by age and ability by the Academy Coaching Staff. Players should use the "buddy form" in the registration process to request to be assigned to the same group as their friends. Parent coaches are not required for the academy as all coaches are provided by Meridian PAL.*

Registration fee thru May 9 is $80 per player. Late registration will be open May 10-16 for an additional fee of $10 per player for a total of $90.

Please bring your own basketball, tennis shoes, and plenty of water

• 1 (90 minute) Academy Session per week (Tuesday or Thursday evening as assigned by Academy Staff)
• Players will be assigned to a session by age group (either 5:45 to 7:15 or 7:15 to 8:45) on Tuesday or Thursday
• 6 week program
• Begins week of May 20 and ends June 27
• Academy T-shirt
• Individual skill development (shooting, ball handling, passing, and defense)
• Team play in both 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 format
• Academy will be located at Heroes Park (Ten Mile/McMillan in Meridian)
• For boys and girls ages 5-14**
• 1 Coach for every 8-10 players
• Fee $80 per player
• Meridian PAL reserves the right to close registration early due to capacity

All MPAL Basketball Academy Sessions are at Heroes Park in Meridian. Please bring a basketball and water.

Play Down--MPAL does not permit play down unless you have a medical reason for your request. Your request must come from your child's physician stating a medical reason for your request.
